Friends Forever
It is nice to note that the time is passing, and the impression of our school remains positive. Jason Marks, who worked as a Peace Corps volunteer and for two years (2012-2013, 2013-2014) taught English for pupils of the 3-11th forms of our school, became a real friend. Therefore, when he had an opportunity to visit Ukraine on a working visit, he came to our school. The entire school family was glad to meet Jason.
Tetiana Tkachenko, director of the school, told about the changes that have taken place over the past five years. 10-A class students conducted an exciting school trip. Eleven graders remembered the times when they were his students, talked about the features of education abroad, about participation in the program FLEX. During breaks, everyone wished to speak with the native speaker. A pleasant surprise was the meeting with Jason for teachers.
During his two-year stay at Jason’s school in September 2013, the school’s volunteer club “Vector” started its work, so he joined with a great deal of pleasure in an open meeting of the club. Jason emphasized the importance of volunteering in Ukraine and noted that volunteering is not only self-development assistance, but also self-development.
It was an extraordinary day for the whole school family.
