The school team participated in the 16th All-Ukrainian Junior Biologist Tournament held this year in the city of Rivne. Participants of the final stage were 26 teams from 14 regions of Ukraine. Among the participants of the tournament for the second year was the team “BioChe” which is the only one in Cherkasy region. It consists of students of our school Vovk Iryna, Natalia Kolomiets, Korzhyk Kateryna, Fartushnia Alisa and pupil of secondary school № 19 Sokolenko Yuliana. A team led by biology and environmental teacher Dovhal L.V. This year’s team performance was more successful compared to the debut last year. Only an interval of 4, 5 points separated the team “BioChe” from the bronze outcome. Following the results of fights, which lasted for five days, the jury considered the most successful performance in the role of an opponent and observer Kolomiets Natalia.

At the solemn closing All-Ukrainian tournament of young biologists, our team was awarded with diplomas and valuable gifts. Kolomiets Natalia was awarded personal honors for a successful performance in the tournament. BioChe’s team is sincerely grateful to the scientists of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Natural Sciences of the National Academy of Sciences named after Bohdan Khmelnytsky for support in preparation for the tournament. Note: All-Ukrainian tournament for young biologists is an open team competition held in accordance with the rules of the tournament. The jury consists of leading scientists in the field of biology of the largest universities of Ukraine. Each individual battle at the tournament gives you the opportunity to speak as reporters, opponents, reviewers. The issues of the tournament are made up of scientists and are published in the pedagogical press and on the Ukrainian biological site. The questions of the tournament are biological problems that do not have an unambiguous solution and often require the nomination and presentation of new biological hypotheses.
