For the 2020-2021 academic year, we will work in two areas:

- NUS-2 – A typical educational program edited by Shiian B.

- “Intellect of Ukraine” – scientific and technological project.

We present to you each direction of work.

The new Ukrainian school is the main reform of general secondary education of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.

The main goal is to create a school where it is pleasant to study, where children not only gain knowledge, but also know how to apply it in life.

1. A new content of education, based on the formation of competencies necessary for successful self-realization in society.

2. Motivated teacher who has freedom of creativity and develops professionally.

3. The end-to-end process of education, which forms values.

4. Decentralization and effective management that will give the school real autonomy.

5. Pedagogy based on partnership between student, teacher and parents.

6. Focus on the needs of the student in the educational process, child-centeredness.

7. A new school structure, which allows you to master the new content and acquire competencies for life.

8. Fair distribution of public funds, which ensures equal access of all children to quality education.

9. Modern educational environment that will provide the necessary conditions, tools and technologies for teaching students, educators, parents not only in the premises of the educational institution.

Our school is situated in the centre of the city. It has good authority with the citizens. From 2003 the school is specialized in the foreign languages and ecology, and in 2008 it opened the form of inclusive education which was the first in the region. Our school takes active part in the life of the community, various All-Ukrainian and the international projects. The experienced teachers continuously implement and use innovations, especially ICT. We have a lot of class-rooms, except two cabinets for ICT, with the equipped places to use ICT (foreign languages, chemistry, biology, ecology, physics, geography, history, elementary school). But potential of pupils and teachers gave us the possibility to hope for more and take part in the National project “Open World”.

The State agency for innovations and management by the national projects of Ukraine and the State institution “The National project “Open World” together with the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine realizing the II stage of the national project “Open World” hold “Contest 2000 schools”.

The contest is held to fulfill the order of the President of Ukraine dated 11 September 2013 No1-1/2360 according to which 2000 secondary schools shall become the participants of the National project “Open World” by the end of 2013.

It means that the secondary schools-the winners of the Contest would receive the computers for teachers, digital laboratories, multimedia complexes and each pupil shall receive by the socially accepted price the pupil’s device with the connection to the educational portal with various electronic educational resources.

Pupils of 6-8 forms expressed the wish to help the school to become the winner. They shot the author’s video on the topic “Why should my school become the participant of the National project “Open World”? and placed this video on the video resource www.youtube.com.

Volunteers are people who have a desire to work abroad with their foreign colleges working hard together and facing the same difficulties. Volunteers are not just assistants. They are the leaders and the tutors. They are not working on standard programs but they are our inspiration for life.

One of them is Jason Marks. He was invited to work in our school as a volunteer.

We did a lot of work together. Mr. Marks helped us with thousands of activities. He taught hundreds of lessons and extracurricular activities together with us. We’ve written two important projects for our school, founded volunteer’s club and created English -speaking debating club.

Our principal Tkachenko Tetiana Yehorivna thanked Mr. Marks for contribution into the school life. Our pupils thanked him for his partnership. They presented Mr. Marks with songs, poems, good speeches and a small gift-slide-show about him and his work in our school. Denis Kulyk, the winner of the FLEX program congratulated Mr. Marks from the USA.

We could take part in different projects about culture, ecology, law, psychology and social problems. The main contribution of Mr. Marks was that he took part in this work together with our teachers and students.

Volunteering isn`t just a help, but a self-development.

At the first meeting of the club participants summed up the results of their work on the project «Elder brothers and sisters» that was realized in the summer during the practical training at school. The leaders of the club were chosen there. All of them are students of the 11A. (Kateryna Smirnova is a President, Artem Lukianenko is a Vice-President, Nataliia Mohylna is a Secretary, Roman Meleshko is a IT Manager.)
