Yehor Skrypnyk, a student of 8-A class, won the XII All-Ukrainian scientific and technical exhibition-competition of youth innovative projects “Future of Ukraine”. His environmental project “System of monitoring the quality of air purification in the school on the example of Cherkasy specialized school I-III degrees № 3″ (supervisor Dovhal L.V.) received positive feedback from the esteemed jury, despite the fact that Yehor competed with students of 10- 11th grade, and was awarded a bronze medal in the category “Ecology and Resource Conservation”. Currently, the project is funded within the regional environmental competition “Ukraine in the style of Eco”. The school is implementing a system for monitoring the quality of air purification: devices have been ordered, the energy team has been organized, and software is under development. On December 9, Yehor Skrypnyk and Liudmyla Volodymyrivna Dovhal were invited to the studio of the news program “Today. The main thing”, which is broadcast on the TV channel “UA: Cherkasy”. The project developer and his supervisor shared their experience in planning and promoting the idea of an air quality monitoring system in an educational institution.

Safety above all! For several years in a row, this thesis has been a priority for our institution. Therefore, they could not refuse to participate in the project, which teaches to build a peaceful school, embodying the ideas of peacebuilding and mediation. 8 peacekeeping schools were selected for the project year, including ours. The trainers of the NGO “Near” have already conducted trainings for students of 8-9 grades, in more detail at the link: http://school3.ck.ua/shkolamiru-trening/ For a team of like-minded teachers, workshops were held on 21 and 22 May on “Conflict Transformation and Mediation” (non-violent conflict resolution, school mediation, including methodological training in interactive, child-centered teaching methods. So we gained new knowledge, skills and social cohesion for further work. It was cool! Join!

# Engineering week Day 5 Pollution and climate change are the most commonly discussed problems nowadays. Therefore, the fourth grade students were making water filters and studying the filtration system. And because this winter was not snowy at all, the students, using baking soda as artificial snow, had great pleasure in molding and decorating the snowmen. The eighth graders involved in the creation of a manipulator arm, a lung model and exploring how our heart functions also became a busy day. During the week, during the computer science lessons, using Planner 5d designer, they made their dream home and launched a rocket into space with the help of the Mathematical Spaceport. The end of the week was an exhibition of hand-made powder and a ceremony of awarding certificates to the most active participants of the engineering week.
