According to the letter from the Department of Education and Science “On measures to prevent the commission of illegal acts among minors during wartime”, a number of measures are being taken in our school.
Due to the influence of Russian enemy special services on children and youth, cases of crimes such as arson of motor vehicles of military personnel and volunteers, causing damage to railways, etc., in which minors are partly involved, have become more frequent. The aggressor country is trying to achieve its goals in destabilizing the situation in Ukraine by any means possible, recruiting minors for a monetary reward.
The Security Service of Ukraine and the National Police of Ukraine have prepared and distributed an educational video against the recruitment of FSB youth “Don’t burn your own! “Burn” the enemy!”

About a thousand soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are receiving treatment in Cherkasy medical institutions in various states of severity. We were contacted by the parents of our students who, together with the public organization “Nebaiduzhi Cherkasy”, are already helping the wounded. Necessary things are constantly lacking, their quantity is limited. Please join the action and help our soldiers. All collected items will be given directly to our defenders!

If you have crutches and bandages at home and you no longer need them, bring them.
You can drop off items for wounded soldiers in the hall on the first floor of our school (Baidy Vyshnevetskogo Str, 58) from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. from Monday to Friday. We do not limit the time of the joint action with the NGO “Nebaiduzhi Cherkasy”. We will transfer the collected aid to the fighters every week.

The Ministry of Education congratulates our winner

The Minister of Education and Science Serhii Shkarlet congratulated the student of our school Yehor Skrypnyk on another victory and thanked the teachers, academic supervisors for the preparation, and the parents for raising their son. Recently, this information appeared on the website of the Ministry of Education.
This year Yehor performed as part of the national team of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine at one of the largest and most powerful international competitions I-FEST²-2022, which traditionally gathers young people from 90 countries of the world in Tunisia.
The defence of scientific works at the I-FEST²-2022 competition ended in June, and the results were tallied in September.
As part of the national team of Ukraine, Yehor presented a project for monitoring the quality of air purification in an educational environment and won a silver award.
Currently, Yehor, together with scientific director Liudmyla Dovhal, is preparing to speak at the INOVA (Croatia) and BUCA IMSEFV (Turkey) environmental competitions.
“Our children are extremely talented and have an unbridled thirst for knowledge. No one has the right to deprive Ukrainian youth of learning and opening new horizons to the world. Only forward! I am proud of each and every one of them!”, said Serhii Shkarlet.

Clarification of the content, structure and evaluation of the SMC block on the Ukrainian language

The team of the Ukrainian Center for Educational Quality Assessment has prepared an explanation of the content, structure and evaluation of the national multidisciplinary test unit in the Ukrainian language.
The content of the tasks of the SMC unit in the Ukrainian language will correspond to the current program of the EIT in the Ukrainian language. Please note that in the relevant program you should be interested only in the part related to the Ukrainian language. This part covers all language topics, the study of which is provided in the school course of the Ukrainian language, namely:
“Phonetics. Graphics. Orthoepy. Orthography”;
“Lexicology. Phraseology”;
“Word structure. Word formation “;
“Morphology”;
“Syntax”;
“Stylistics”;
“Speech development”.
The section of linguistics of the SMC unit on the Ukrainian language corresponds to what characterizes the content of external evaluation tests. However, the sections “Stylistics” and “Speech Development” are given a little less attention due to the computer format of testing, which, in particular, makes it impossible to use tasks to provide written detailed or short answers.
In total, there will be 20 tasks in the Ukrainian language block, including:
15 tasks with the choice of one correct answer from 4 or 5 options;
5 tasks to establish compliance.
There will be no tasks in the SMC block on the Ukrainian language, that provide detailed or short written answers, as well as tasks on Ukrainian literature.
Tasks in the Ukrainian language will be evaluated according to the scheme of external evaluation points: 1 test point for each correct answer and 1 test point for a correctly defined logical pair. You can get from 0 to 35 points for performing the tasks of the SMC unit in the Ukrainian language.
You will find out your result (number of points scored) after performing the SMC blocks. Later, the result of each block will be translated into a scale of 100-200 points. To get a result on this scale, it will be enough to score at least one test score.

World Health Day

Today, the school family and the entire world community are celebrating World Health Day. This holiday has been a tradition since the middle of the last century. The date of the celebration of World Health Day is timed to the day of the establishment of the World Health Organization, or rather the day of the adoption of the statute of this organization. The WHO Charter was adopted on April 7, 1948, at the same time as the first session of the World Health Assembly, and the idea arose to hold this international holiday. Until 1950, this day was celebrated on July 22, the day when the proposed ratification of the proposed WHO Statute took place, then the day was fixed to the current date.
There is a very simple idea in our public consciousness that is directly related to health issues and the problems of its absence. “There will be health – everything else will be added,” is the centuries-old observation. Indeed, the presence or absence of a person in this most valuable state, radically determines his daily life, social and social environment. Health is a real treasure that you and I sometimes ignore. Healthy people mostly rarely think about how to properly and intelligently organize their lives and activities so that their health remains strong and reliable in the long run.
Health can be very expensive. And mostly it is about trying to get it back in place. On World Health Day, we wish everyone safe storage. All patients – a speedy recovery. Physicians have a good material and technical base. To all of us – to be healthy and cheerful! Happy holidays to you!

Introductory campaign in wartime

On April 1, 2022, an online briefing was held on the inaugural campaign in the conditions of war and overcoming its consequences with the participation of the Minister of Education and Science Serhiy Shkarlet.
“Due to the war, it is impossible to conduct the EIT, EMI and EPI in the traditional format. Now it is important for us to preserve the student body, which is the national and intellectual potential of Ukraine. We should encourage students to study in our country, even at such a difficult time for everyone. Therefore, it is necessary to create accessible and safe conditions for this year’s entrants. That is why we have developed a slightly different model: this year the National Multi-Subject Test (NMT) for higher education will be held”, said Serhiy Shkarlet.
BMT will take the form of online computer testing in three subjects (Ukrainian language, mathematics, history of Ukraine). Different weightings will be set for different specialties.
A creative competition will be held for some specialties to enter the college and the Free Economic Zone. In other important matters, the established rules and schemes of work organization will be preserved as much as possible. Address placement of budget places, wide competition, open and fixed competition proposals, admission for the second education, submission of 5 applications for budget places and up to 20 applications in total, etc. This will be described in more detail in the new regulations along with the timing of the introductory campaign. The timing of the introductory campaign may change in the event of an unfavorable security situation.

Charity friendly match

On Sunday, March 27, a charity friendly football match in support of territorial defense took place on the sports ground of our school, organized and participated by the parents of our school’s students. As a result of voluntary donations of the participants of the match, funds were raised, which were already transferred to the staff of the House of Veterans of Yevhen Podolianchuk for the needs of the territorial defense of the city.

Regarding the end of the school year in wartime

Due to the situation in Ukraine, which suffers from large-scale aggression by Russia, Minister of Education and Science Serhiy Shkarlet signed an order exempting from passing the State Final Attestation of students who complete primary and basic secondary education in 2021/2022 academic year (in 4 , 9th and 11th grades).
“The main thing now is to ensure the maximum safety of participants in the educational process. Unfortunately, this means that it is impossible to conduct an external independent evaluation in the traditional format in 2022. Access to higher, professional higher and professional (vocational) education for all citizens of Ukraine, regardless of their location, is our highest priority”, said Serhiy Shkarlet.
Serhiy Shkarlet said that the procedure for issuing certificates of basic and complete general secondary education to 9th and 11th grade graduates will be clarified soon. These documents are sure to be available to all graduates, no matter where they are. In particular, the procedure regulates the receipt of documents by internally displaced applicants and those who left the territory of Ukraine.
The Minister also stressed that digitalization will create the safest conditions for participants in the introductory campaign, and security protocols will be followed as much as possible during offline procedures.
Currently, the Ministry of Education and Science, together with the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Education, Science and Innovation, educators, experts and parents, is working on the final mechanism for accession in 2022. Its development is in the final stages, and it will be presented soon.

Victory – “Ukraine in the style of ECO”!

Steady developments in environmental education, once again marked us among the winners. The project application of our school “School Workshop of Sustainable Development – 2020″ won the annual environmental regional competition “Ukraine in the style of Eco”. This year, 22 projects were submitted to the expert commission for the annual competition “Ukraine in the style of Eco”. Our school community participated in the competition with the project “School Workshop of Sustainable Development – 2020″. The aim of the project was to intensify the work of the school information and educational center of environmental and climate education “School Workshop on Sustainable Development”, which implements best practices of environmentally friendly activities, initiatives, actions and examples of sustainable living in individual households on the basis of informal educational activities. The project activities include 17 thematic weeks, during which we conduct activities dedicated to 17 Sustainable Development Goals. All our activities will be covered on the school website and on the School Workshop of Sustainable Development page on Facebook.
