Note: Clean (Great or Holy) Thursday is one of the most important days of the last week before Easter. It is traditionally celebrated three days before the Resurrection of Christ. In 2022, the date falls on April 21. All the signs of this day are associated with purification – especially the soul, but also the body and home.
This day is the eve of Easter. It is on this day of the Easter week that it is customary to start baking Easter cakes and painting eggs. Therefore, the spirit of the holiday is felt in the house, even physically – the smell of baking and festive purity.
