The summer vacation ended and the students sat down at the desk – a new 2018-2019 school year began. The school welcomes new residents – first-graders who will be studying under the program of the New Ukrainian School. They were glad to meet the first teachers: Melania Olexandrivna Hryhorenko, Svitlana Petrivna Ostapenko and Nadia Anatoliivna Shevchenko. This year, 95 first grade students became part of a friendly school family. The school year together met the “Holiday of the school family”. The joint Ukrainian hymn was started by teachers. Students, parents and teaching staff were congratulated by Tetiana Tkachenko, director of the school. At the festival there were great songs performed by school vocalists. Pupils, teachers, parents took part in the fun September march. The school houseman Kuzia handed the “Key of Knowledge” to first-class students. For the students of the whole school, the first bell sounded, and they were friendly with the stream, forming the “River of unity”, traveled to the country of wisdom and knowledge.

The first lesson started in primary school was devoted to children’s dreams, and in the middle and senior, the European choice of Ukraine. Instead, parents together with teachers in the yard of the school created greetings cards for students in grades 1 and 2.

The next step for classrooms was to work out the “Rules of the Class”, which will be followed by participants in the educational process during the school year.

The “highlight” of the holidays of the school family was a variety of excursions, interactive games, meetings, quests, which students in the framework of the project “Social cohesion” conducted in different locations of our city. The first day brought many positive impressions and created a good mood.
