A graduate of the class with the deep study of chemistry and biology in 2006 Hlib Baryshnikov received a presidential grant. Hlib is known as scientist, PhD, professor of Cherkasy National University of B. Khmelnitsky. He was one of 151 applicants who took part in the competition of the State Fund of Fundamental Research, organized to support young scientists. And it is his project “Mechanisms of energy transfer and vibrant effects in multilayer organic light emitting diode” was one of the winners. Research of Hlib Baryshnikov regards the creation of new light-emitting diodes, which are the most modern light sources and integral components of every modern smart phone, TV or monitor. Grant amount – 60 thousand UAH. Now scientist is in Sweden and is already more than a year working at the Royal Institute of Stockholm, where he continued his scientific work within two years of the grant project.

The entire school family welcomes Hlib Baryshnikov in obtaining a presidential grant and wishes to continue to glorify our country and invent new scientific achievements.

For information: Learning in the classroom with intensive study of chemistry and biology Hlib Baryshnikov was the winner of city and regional stages of the competition-protection of works of Junior Academy of Science in Chemistry, won the urban stage nationwide competitions in chemistry and biology. In 2006 he won the title “Student of the year” in the nomination “The best researcher of the year.” He graduated from the school with a silver medal. Working as a teacher in Cherkasy National University of Khmelnitsky in different years Hlib was head of research work of Junior Academy of Science students in our school Bohdan Kovtun (the theme of “Quantum-chemical study of the structure and electronic spectral properties of zinc complex EL”) and double Tetiana Bytko (themes works “creating effective light-emitting diodes” and “The combination of phosphorescent emission and explicit to create a highly efficient organic light-emitting diodes”).
