Foreign Language Week
Pupils took part in several events in the week of foreign languages, held from 21 to 26 March.
In order to introduce new forms of work with gifted youth, improving the culture of communication, encouraging students to study foreign languages in school was held a week of foreign languages.
During the week of foreign languages were held various events combined on the theme “Ukraine – my homeland.” Students of grades 5-11-made wall newspapers, which presented a variety of cognitive information about Ukraine in English, French and German.
Literary and musical composition “My Ukraine” officially began objective week. Students read poems of Shevchenko translated into German, French and English, sang Ukrainian songs translated into foreign languages, 8-A class introduced staging Ukrainian folk tale “Mice and cats” in French, and the dance troupe 6-A class got the home crowd inflammatory Scottish tank.
For students of grades 10-11, was prepared to review and discuss the film «Ukraine», students of grades 3-4 took part in entertaining intellectual game «Merry Train», and students 1-6-graders watched puppet theater “based on folk tales,” prepared by the students of class 5-B. Intellectuals, linguists of 6-9 classes during a week were able to prove themselves by taking part in various games and quests, trained teachers of foreign languages. During the week was held an exhibition of hand-made by students devoted to Ukraine.
At the fair, students presented the national dishes of Ukrainian cuisine dishes in different languages. The proceeds from the sale of sweets in the amount of 466 UAH, was transferred to a special student group in 2-V class.
As part of the Week of Francophone in Cherkasy French teacher Draka O. and Mazur O. with their students had the opportunity to visit an exhibition of the works of Arthur Rimbaud and watch a movie «Rien à déclarer» Denis Boone francophone center “Alliance Francaise”.
Measures were interesting, vivid and compelling.
