Steps to Understanding September introduced a new elective course “Steps to Understanding,” which aims – to teach children critical thinking, tolerance, dialogue and building media literacy.

Significant victories of students and teachers

International recognition In the fourteenth competition “Infomatriks – 2016 took part students from 57 countries. Ukraine was represented by only five members, among who was a student of our school Anna Inozemts (head science teacher Zadyranov O.B.). Anna won the bronze medal in the final in Bucharest (Romania).

Award of Natalia Kolomiets Natilia took third place in the third stage of the All-Ukrainian competition-protection research works of students – members of the Junior Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. (Supervisor: biology teacher Dovhal L.V.)

“My voice I give to protect nature” Olexandra Dovhal and Denis Kozlovskyi won the competition held with the initiative of the Ukrainian Environmental League and All-child union “Ecological Guard” with posters “Alternative Energy Sources”,  ”Sustainable development” in the category “Environmental slogan “.

PRO FLE program Has begun implementation of the program PRO FLE distance education teachers in French. A pilot group, which includes teachers of our school Draka Oksana and Zatoka Natalia Pavlivna was created.

eTwinning in practice of teachers of English Teacher of English Voitsekhovska O.V. with students of 8-A and 2-A class participants were in eTwinning projects program.

The future of energy efficiency Schoolgirls of 10B class Bilous Olha and Iryna Vovk attended the National Conference of students; members of JAS and energy efficiency of their work have been noted as one of the best.

JAS of school Iryna Vovk, Natalia Kolomiets, Inna Pidhorna (10B) won first place, and Maria Biletska (9A) – second place in the municipal stage of competition – protecting scientific research students – members of JAS.

Victory for the second phase of nationwide competitions in basic subjects Pupils won 4 first places, 4 second places and 14 third places. By winning students prepared teachers Dovhal L.V., Klymenko O.I., Budavitska S.V., Koval V.I., Draka O.V., Parnachova N.V., Sotulenko O.Yu.,  Zadyranov O.B., Zasiadko L.V., Mykytenko A.A.

Socio-active school – the socio-active student

School authorities School Parliament, Academic Council, Children’s Association “Land of Adventure” were the initiators and participants of many school and city events. The high level of activists demonstrated in organizing and conducting competitions and festivals, charity ball, student conference “Model UN” military-patriotic game “Jura”. At the initiative of the environmental committee grade 1-11 students per year collected more than 10 tons of paper, 12,000 “pet” -bottles and 10,469 plastic covers. We have nine prizes in city competition “Ecological Tale.”

Volunteer Club “Vector” organized financial assistance to students in need of complex operations. They produced postcards, pictures, collecting food and industrial goods that were sent to the defenders of the homeland to the East of Ukraine.

Proud of Ukraine and its heroes

The opening of the memorial plaque to Podolianchuk Yevhen – a graduate of school, a folk hero of Ukraine deceased warrior-protector of the territorial integrity of our country, Captain Yevhen Podolianchuk.

Patriotic Song Festival A festival of patriotic songs in which the scene showed their talents over a third of all students in grades 1-11. The festival heard folk and modern songs of military-patriotic themes.

Art Olympus

Art wonderland of Cherkasy region High level of acting and dancing skills showed students in urban festival “Art wonderland of Cherkasy region.” In “Theater Arts” drama team (artistic director Korkishko I.O.) and Illia Oparin won first place, Vladyslav Ihnatenko – third place. In “Dance” dance group (artistic director Zinchenko N.S.) won third place.

City competition of readers Denys Natura and Oparin Illia won first place in city competitions of readers to mark the anniversary of Ivan Franko. The competition favorite poetry readers and writers of the world won a place Denys Natura. The creative team consisted of Illia Oparin, Illia Kryvych, Vladyslav Babiienko won second place in city competition of readers of poetry of Lesia Ukrainka.

Sport awards

Silver Checkers Members of Checkers club (head Lyzunenko O.V.) Karprovych Olexander and Liudmyla Starodub together won second place at the city tournament. Olexander was strongest among boys and was awarded a diploma.

Bronze of Yefrem Datsyk At the World Cup of Taekwondo “Minsk – 2016″ Yefrem Datsyk demonstrated high quality and sports ability, was awarded a bronze medal.

Global repairing

Floor repairing Via electronic public procurement system Pro-Zorro allocated 349 thousand 998 UAH for capital repairs of floors and storey. Repairing is made by PE “UKRBUD Center Plus” (Director Slabenko K.P.). The funds allocated to local authorities each student used to improve the material and technical state.
