There is no excuse for violence

Today, many countries are taking action to raise public awareness of the issue of violence against women. On December 17, 1999, the UN General Assembly declared November 25 as the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women.
The school family in the lobby of the school joined the action “Violence is no excuse”, leaving the warmth of their hands on the poster “I do not beat my child”, thus protesting against physical punishment. Participants of the psychological peer group “Equal-to-peer” and “School of understanding” offered to join the “Blue Ribbon” action to everyone and gave it a symbol. Blue Ribbon symbolizes bruises on a child’s body and, at the same time, blue is a constant reminder of the need to combat violence.
An exhibition of thematic literature on violence prevention was organized at the school library. Students attending the GPA took part in a class on Happy Technology without Violence art technologies. The film “World without violence” was watched by 9B class students and after its completion they emotionally discussed the most pressing issues of today.
Note: Violence against women is any act of gender-based violence that causes or may cause physical or psychological harm or suffering to women, including threats of such acts, coercion or arbitrary restriction of liberty, whether in the public or the private life.
