Heroes do not die!
Today, the whole school family honours the memory of Yevgenii Podolianchuk, a graduate of the school. From the very morning, a video clip about the hero’s combat and life path was shown in the school lobby. During informational communication hours, classes 1-11 remembered Yevgenii as a person and an officer of the Armed Forces. Schoolchildren laid flowers at the memorial plaque of the National Hero of Ukraine. Yevgenii studied at our school from 1998 to 2008. In 2008, he entered the Academy of Ground Forces named after Hetman Petro Sahaidachnyi at the intelligence department, which he graduated with honours. In military service since 2012 he served in Kirovohrad, 3rd separate special forces regiment. He held the position of group commander 2nd squad, 5th company. Yevhenii Podolianchuk was one of the first to go to the ATO zone to protect the integrity of the state and fight against Russian aggression. Died during the defence of Donetsk airport. On September 14, 2014, after receiving a shrapnel wound in the head during shelling by Russian militants, he died on the way to the hospital.
