The school community, together with the whole world, celebrates Earth Day today. Measures started on the eve of a significant event – schoolchildren and teacher of the foundations of health Sokur O.I. calculated the ecological footprint using the “Transport Snake” technique. I would like to note that there is an increasing number of participants in the educational process who go to school on foot, thereby strengthening their health. From the very morning, students of 3-4 classes together with the teacher of physical culture Diachenko A.I. and class leaders conducted an action “Earth – Our Home” making gigantic puzzles. During the first lesson, the teachers conducted an informational five-minute “Green Greek letter Θ (theta)”. After the first lesson, the entire school family joined the “Earth Day Bell” flashlight, which encourages Earth’s people to feel the all-planetary community and make efforts to protect the peace on the planet and preserve the beauty of our common home. In the recreation of the second floor an exhibition of works of art “Nature of the native land” was opened where the most active were elementary school students, and in the school lobby the visitors’ eye to the exhibition “Gallery of houseplants” is pleasant. During the big breaks, the participants of the volunteer club “Vector” invited everyone to join the “Wish Earth” campaign. The master class for the production of eco bags within the action “Clean the city from polyethylene” was conducted by the teacher of labor studies Plakhotnia G.L.  and biology teacher Klymenko O.I. In the yard of the school they introduced the students with the composting of organic waste.
Tomorrow there will be ecological actions on collecting secondary raw materials – waste paper and plastic bottles. Join!
