Europe Day
Today the whole school community celebrates Europe Day! The only lesson dedicated to this event was held in grades 1-11. Europe Day is a special day for Ukrainians, because our country and the EU are united by common values, history and culture, democracy and freedom. Celebrating Europe Day is an important step in strengthening Ukraine’s self-identification as a European state involved in European traditions and values. Today’s date is dedicated to the unity of the countries that are members of the European Union. Historically, there have been two whole days of Europe. The first is on May 5. It was founded in honor of the Council of Europe in 1949. The second – May 9 – in honor of the fact that in 1950 the founding countries first proposed the creation of the European Union.
Together to Europe!
Glory to Ukraine!
