Today, the school family, together with the whole of Ukraine, celebrates one of the most significant official holidays in recent history – the Day of Dignity and Freedom. It is established in honor of two significant and fateful events that took place in Ukraine – the Orange Revolution of 2004 and the Revolution of Dignity of 2013. This day reminds us that everyone has dignity, because a person receives dignity from birth. It is important to remember that dignity sometimes needs to be upheld and protected. On the eve of the highlight, the school parliament invited students to answer the question “Dignity is…” by releasing a cloud. Documentaries from the Revolution of Dignity were reviewed and discussed by 11th graders. The direct participants of the anti-terrorist operation told the 9A and 7B classes about the courage and heroism of our soldiers in the ATO zone. Pupils of 10-A class took part in the intellectually cognitive game “World figures who fought for freedom”. They demonstrated a deep knowledge of historical events and outstanding personalities, thanks to which the world became democratic and free from discrimination. During the information hours, class teachers conducted conversations with students “What is freedom and why it is worth fighting for”. Students of 8A class laid flowers to the memorial complex dedicated to the memory of the fallen residents of Cherkasy – members of the anti-terrorist operation. It is worth remembering that the path chosen by the Ukrainian people, though difficult, is irreversible.
